The Department of Conservation intends to inform staff about its latest restructuring plans in March.
The department said 18 months ago that it was reviewing regional structures and in February last year said it would also look at business operations.
It said on Wednesday that staff will be informed in March about the plans for structural changes as a result of the reviews and decisions should be made by July on how many jobs might be cut.
DoC said the changes include more involvement with communities, businesses and iwi to save money and better allocate resources.
About 120 DoC personnel have lost their jobs due to restructuring in the past two years.
