The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade says there is no change to its travel advice on Pakistan following a gun attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore on Tuesday.
Six policemen and a driver were killed and eight Sri Lankan cricketers were wounded in the attack while the team was being driven to a Test match.
New Zealand Cricket on Wednesday said its tour of Pakistan later this year is in doubt, but matches could be played at a neutral venue.
MFAT says it was already warning of an extreme risk to security and advising New Zealanders not to travel in Pakistan.
