The Rural Fire Service in Auckland had to deal with another scrub fire on Friday night and says it looks suspicious.
The blaze in the Hunua Rangers near Paparata was one of several scrub fires in the region over the past week. Auckland Council has now imposed a fire ban.
Chief rural fire officer Bryan Cartelle said crews were alerted to the fire at about 11pm. The fire appears to be out but crews are there on Saturday to make sure.
