The children of a Tauranga couple killed in Kenya have spoken fondly of their parents at their funeral on Saturday morning.
Brian and Grace Johnston were killed in a mini-van, along with their Kenyan driver, and a former student of Bethlehem College, Caitlin Dickson, while working on the school's missionary programme earlier in January.
About 2000 people attended the Johnstons' funeral at the Tauranga college.
One of the Johnstons' daughters said children often end up like their parents and that makes her and her siblings 'superexcited' at the thought.
The funeral for Miss Dickson was held on Thursday.
Other staff and students meanwhile returned to New Zealand on Saturday.
