Enrolments at Student Job Search are up significantly.
Figures issued by the student employment service show there are 20% fewer job vacancies than last year. Enrolments are up 27%.
The agency says the uncertain economic climate means many students did not get the amount of work they needed over the summer period.
Student Job Search on average finds employment for more than 750 students every four days.
