An officer was bitten by a woman when police came to remove her three dogs in Hamilton on Monday.
Police were called to the house to assist Dog Control which had a warrant to seize the animals.
Police say the owner, 26, refused to give up her pets and jumped into the back of a dog control vehicle.
She was arrested and tried to bite one of the officers several times while being transported to the central police station.
Police say she faces a number of charges for disorder and assault.
