A body found at the site of a scrub fire in South Auckland has been taken away for a post-mortem.
Emergency services were called to the fire at McRobbie Road in Kingseat about 6.30am on Thursday after a woman told police she had discovered a body in the grass.
The identity and gender of the body are unknown.
Police are making inquiries.
