A large fire in Port Waikato is now under control.
The blaze, which has burned six hectares of scrub, started in sand dunes at Maraetai Bay just before 1pm on Sunday.
Fire crews remain at the scene, dampening down hotspots.
The Fire Service says no one was evacuated.
