Two people have been flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries after their car plunged about 50 metres down a bank on the outskirts of Dunedin late on Saturday morning.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson says a man and a woman were both trapped in the vehicle and they had to be winched up by helicopter.
Police say the car rolled end over end down the bank on George King Memorial Drive near Outram.
