Police say a 47-year-old walker who went missing in a forest park south-east of Murupara in eastern Bay of Plenty on Sunday night has been found.
The Murupara woman was one of about 10 people walking and running around a track in the Whirinaki Forest Park near Minginui.
Police say it appears she took a wrong turn and became separated from the group.
Emergency services were called at about 8.30pm when she did not return to the car park. A search team was in the area overnight and another four went into the park at first light on Monday.
At 12.45 on Monday afternoon she was found near a waterfall close to the track about eight kilometres south of Minginui.
Police say she was cold and hungry but unhurt.
