A woman has been rescued from Auckland's Waitemata Harbour after spending up to nine hours in the water.
The 23-year-old was reported missing on Thursday night, but searches through the night failed to find her.
She was finally spotted, struggling to keep her head above water, by a police helicopter crew just before 8am on Friday, about 1 kilometre from Takapuna Beach.
The woman has been taken to Auckland Hospital.
