A five-car crash is causing major traffic congestion on Auckland's southern motorway on Friday night.
Traffic is backed-up bumper-to-bumper for more than 15km from the crash scene near Takanini to past East Tamaki.
Police say the congestion is only going to get worse in peak-hour traffic and are urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.
