After a dismal tour of South Africa the Black Caps are hoping to regain some international respect in the upcoming test series against England.
Turmoil in the team over such things as the handling of Ross Taylor's sacking as captain has led many former players to push for change.
New Zealand Cricket is to meet with a number of former leading players during the test series.
Among them is Dion Nash, who has reservations about the meeting's worth. ""The cynical part of me suggests that that's a good PR move to shut everyone up, but I hope its not," he said.
The three-test series against England starts in Dunedin on 6 March.
