A man died in Nelson Hospital after being stabbed in a domestic incident on Sunday.
Nelson Bays Police say they were called to an address in the city about 10.45am.
They launched a homicide investigation after the man died on Sunday afternoon.
Police say a woman, who had also received stab wounds, remains in Nelson Hospital in a stable condition.
A third person, a woman in her 50s, has been treated for superficial injuries and is now in police custody.
Police say she will appear in the Nelson District Court on Monday facing charges in relation to the incident.
