The police are asking motorists to avoid using the Hibiscus Coast Highway north of Auckland, after a campervan crashed into the Waiwera river bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Two people taken to hospital are in a critical condition.
The highway is blocked in both directions, and the police say motorists should use state highway one as the alternative route .
