Police in Auckland have arrested two people for bringing methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $1 million into the country.
They say their investigation started on Friday when a 25-year-old man arrived in Auckland from Mexico via Dubai with a kilogram of methamphetamine hidden in his suitcase.
Early on Wednesday morning police charged a 23-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman with importing and possessing a class A drug.
The two unemployed Auckland residents later appeared in the Manukau District Court.
