Two Romanian men have reappeared briefly in the Wellington District Court on Monday.

Catlin Lechea and Bogdan Pavelescu are charged with computer crime and preparing to commit a crime in a public place.

The pair were arrested on Friday after the police received information about people travelling the country and trying to fit skimming devices to ATMs.

Neither man entered a plea and both have been remanded in custody.

They will reappear in court on Wednesday to make bail applications.
