A woman has fought off a man while out running in Auckland where she was grabbed and dragged to the ground.
It is the second attack in two days in the North Shore area.
Police say the 24-year-old was assaulted on Lake Road in Devonport at 10pm on Monday but managed to fight the offender off.
Another woman was grabbed while walking through Killarny Park on Sunday but managed to break free of the offender when she screamed.
Police say the women were shaken and received cuts, but did not need hospital treatment.
Police say it is too early to tell whether the attacks are linked.
