West Auckland adventure park reopens

9:45 pm on 27 April 2013

A west Auckland adventure park where a man fell to his death has reopened after being given the all-clear by government officials.

Clifford Brabant died while on a team-building day at Tree Adventures in Woodhill Forest, near Kumeu, in March this year.

Following the death, the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment issued a prohibition notice forbidding Tree Adventures from operating and began investigating the accident.

The ministry says the company has corrected issues raised and met the conditions of the notice, which was lifted near the end of March.

On its website, Tree Adventures says it reopened on 13 April after reviewing safety gear and allowing staff enough time to deal with the accident.
