Four men have been arrested following an armed robbery in the Rosehill area of South Auckland.
Police spotted the suspects leaving the Whitehouse Tavern on Dumas Place in a stolen vehicle at about 11pm on Saturday and pursued them, but abandoned the chase.
The vehicle was found shortly afterwards and two men were arrested with the assistance of dog handlers.
Another two men with a firearm were taken into custody as they tried to escape in a taxi.
A tavern employee was knocked out during the incident. Police said his injuries were not serious.
