High winds are causing problems for motorists in Central Otago and police say people should consider delaying their journey until conditions improve.
The conditions are causing problems for motorcyclists taking part in the Brass Monkey Rally at Oturehua.
Inspector Rick Dury said there have been numerous incidents of motorcyclists being blown off the road, although no injuries.
A campervan was also reportedly overturned in the Lake Pukaki area.
He said the winds were expected to ease by midday.
