Fewer buses are on the roads in Christchurch while a union meeting for drivers takes place.
The Amalgamated Workers Union Meeting is due to end at 2pm on Thursday.
Canterbury Regional Council, which runs the bus network, expects passengers on all routes will experience delays.
The council is advising people to avoid travelling at all on buses today.
