Manawatu Red Cross is attempting to discover the history and connections of a 16- year-old Maori Bible before putting it on sale.
Red Cross volunteer Basil Poll says the New Testament Bible, which has its front and back covers missing and no spine, turned up in a box of books donated for an annual book sale in Palmerston North.
He told Waatea News there are indications that it came from the Kaikoura area, but a colleague has been unable to find anyone connected with it.
