Constable facing indecent assault charges

10:30 pm on 11 June 2013

A police constable has appeared in the Hastings District Court charged with seven counts of indecent assault against five complainants between May 2011 and December last year.

Adam Dunnett entered no plea to the charges and failed to get name suppression.

The 37-year-old has been suspended from the police, where he's worked for 10 years, most recently in Flaxmere near Hastings.

His lawyer, Jonathan Krebs, said the alleged offences took place at parties and that in at least two cases the identity of the offender was disputed.

Mr Dunnett was remanded on bail to appear on 17 July.
