Whangarei's Lion Man, Craig Busch, is appearing before the Employment Relations Tribunal in a bid to get his job back.
The star of televusion's Lion Man series was sacked as manager of the Zion Wildlife Gardens by his mother Patricia Busch, who took over the debts and the park.
Mrs Busch cited reasons of serious misconduct, safety breaches, inappropriate workplace behaviour and performance issues for the dismissal.
Craig Busch is claiming the dismissal was unjustified.
The tribunal hearing in Whangarei is expected to take three days.
