A person has died following a car crash at Ohaupo near Hamilton and a woman has been seriously injured in another collision near the city.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Ohaupo and Sowerby roads just after 3pm on Thursday. The victim died at the scene.
Meanwhile, a woman is fighting for her life in Waikato Hospital after a crash near the intersection of State Highway 39 and Kakaramea Road near Hamilton at 1.40pm.
There was also a two-car crash earlier in the afternoon at the intersection of Collins and Tuhikaramea roads near the city.
Police are warning drivers to take heed of wet weather conditions.
