One person is dead and others are seriously injured following a crash involving a car and a bus in Auckland early on Saturday morning.
The two vehicles crashed on Mt Eden Road at about 4.15am.
The driver of the car died at the scene, two of the passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries and another is being treated for minor injuries.
The police say no one on the bus was hurt.
Mt Eden Road between New North Road and Boston Road is expected to be closed until about 9am and diversions are in place.
