An appeal by the New Zealand Red Cross for those affected by the Victorian bushfires has totalled more than $3 million.
$2 million was handed over to the bushfire appeal fund the month after the fires in February and a further $1.3 million has now been contributed.
Some 173 people are confirmed to have died in the fires - mostly on 7 February. About 500 were injured.
The Red Cross says the money is being used to rebuild homes.
