The New Zealand Transport Agency is alerting motorists to icy conditions on central North Island roads on Sunday night.
The agency says motorists should take extra care and drive to the conditions over State Highway One, the Desert Rd.
Particular caution is needed between Waiouru and Rangipo.
Similarly on State Highway 5, the road which connects Napier and Taupo, motorists are being forewarned of icy conditions.
