A New Zealand record for simultaneous breast-feeding has been broken.
Women's Health Action Trust organised the Big Latch On event in which 1299 women took part, feeding babies simultaneously for one minute at 10.30am on Friday.
The trust's text messaging system collapsed as it received tallies of the numbers involved from organisers across the country.
Last year, 1,122 women took part in the event nationwide.
