Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, is to visit New Zealand in November.
Prime Minister John Key says Prince Edward will visit Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch on 2-5 November.
During his visit, Prince Edward will present gold awards for the Duke of Edinburgh's award programme.
Mr Key says further details about the prince's programme will be made known closer to the visit.
