An inquest into the death of two Australian tourists who died at Fox Glacier is scheduled to begin in Greymouth on Wednesday.
Ashish Miranda and his brother, Akshay Miranda were buried by 100 tonnes of ice and rock, at the toe of the glacier on 8 January this year.
Ashish Miranda's body was recovered immediately. The body of Akshay Miranda remained under the ice for a week before it was released and found down stream.
The brothers had crossed safety barriers to have their picture taken at the glacier, ignoring the warning signs posted around the area.
The inquest is expected to take two days.
