Police Constable Jeremy Snow, who was shot three times in Papatoetoe on Tuesday is receiving many visits as he prepares to spend Christmas in hospital.

He is in stable condition in Middlemore Hospital.

The man accused of his attempted murder is preparing to leave the same hospital on Thursday or Friday after being treated for a police dog bite. He will remain in custody when he is discharged.

Detective Inspector Mark Gutry says police have been visiting the homes of associates of Darren Court, 43, who is also wanted in connection with the shooting.

He says Constable Snow, 28, is recovering and receiving a lot of support from friends, relatives and colleagues.
