A woman is being treated in hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Invercargill.
Police and the Fire Service are treating the fire as suspicious.
Detective Constable Scott McConachie said emergency services were called at 2.42am on Friday to a house at Princes Street.
Firefighters found the woman inside the house and rescued her from the blaze.
The fire is not believed to be linked to others that have occurred in the Invercargill area.
