A body has been found in a house in Upper Hutt.
Police were called to a home in Whitemans Valley Road on Thursday morning and cordoned off a section of the road.
They said they were dealing with an incident involving firearms but there was no risk to the public.
Officers did not fire any shots and police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
