Nelson police are seeking help to identify a group of youths they believe is responsible for intimidating several people in the city last weekend.
In one incident, the youths surrounded what police describe as a senior couple's car and banged on it.
Sergeant Charlie Parfitt says a passing patrol stopped to help, and apprehended one of the youths, but the couple drove off before the officer could speak to them.
Mr Parfitt says police would like to speak with the couple and any other witnesses to the incident, as he believes the same group may be responsible for other, similar incidents.
