Financial advisers disciplinary committee hearing adjourned

11:42 am on 5 August 2013

The Financial Advisers Disciplinary Committee has adjourned its hearing into charges against a man accused of running a $400 million Ponzi scheme.

Ross Asset Management director David Ross is facing eight charges: five laid by the Serious Fraud Office and three by the Financial Markets Authority.

The authority on Monday told the disciplinary committee it suspended Mr Ross' authorisation to practise as a financial services provider in February when he failed to submit the necessary documents.

It sought an adjournement until criminal charges against Mr Ross have been resolved.

Chair Sir Bruce Robertson agreed to set the next committee hearing for February, 2014.
