St John Ambulance says one person has died and two others have been injured in a crash in Whangaparaoa, north of Auckland.
The police say two cars collided outside the fire station on Whangapararoa Road at about four o'clock.
The amblulance service says one person is in a serious condition and the other has moderate injuries .
