Police are asking people in Balfour and northern Southland to keep a look out for an Invercargill man who is wanted in relation to an assault.
Members of the Armed Offenders Squad visited an address on the Lumsden-Riversdale Highway on Monday but did not find the man who was known to be there over the weekend.
He is described as pakeha, 182cm in height, medium to solid build with short dark hair and clean shaven.
Police say he should not be approached.
