Police in Northland are investigating an aggravated robbery at a Whangarei dairy.
The say a man entered a dairy on Riverside Drive on Monday afternoon, with a firearm and demanded money from the shop attendant.
The shop attendant fled to a back room and the armed man left taking the shop's cash register.
Police describe the man as being dark skinned, about 1.85 metres tall and he left the scene in a blue sedan.
The man's behaviour in the shop was described as erratic and he appeared to be highly strung.
Police say that's a serious concern, and suggest complete compliance by any retailers faced with an armed offender.
