A second man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a dairy farm worker.
Justin McFarlane was found dead in his rural home in Elderslie, Otago, early last Wednesday morning.
Police say they arrested a 22-year-old Oamaru man late on Saturday afternoon and he is expected to appear in the Dunedin District Court on Monday.
An 18-year-old Palmerston man appeared in court on Friday also charged with murder.
A police spokesperson says the Armed Offenders Squad assisted with the execution of search warrants at two residential properties on Saturday, where a number of items were found.
Police are also continuing examinations at Mr McFarlane's home on Pine Hill Road, as well as on a silver Nissan Skyline which is thought to be linked to his death.
They say they still want to talk to people who either know about the circumstances surrounding Justin McFarlane's death or who appear to have been involved in some way.
