Police have found a stolen truck containing about $300,000 of make-up.
The truck, full of perfumes, eyeliners, lipsticks and other cosmetics, was taken from outside a house in Belmont in Lower Hutt on Thursday night.
Senior sergeant Marc Clausen says the truck was found about 10 minutes drive away from where it was stolen.
Mr Clausen says the thieves had worked out what was concealed in the truck.
The back had been broken into but police say it's not clear yet how much make-up the thieves may have taken.
Mr Clausen says the police will forensically examine the truck for any evidence that may identify the offenders.
