A garage fire in Masterton overnight has killed one person and three others have been slightly injured.
The dead man has been named as Archie Aihe Huirama Ormsby, 44.
Two fire engines were called to the Cameron Crescent blaze just before 11pm on Wednesday.
The Fire Service says firefighters were told on their way to the property that someone was inside the garage, which was being used as a sleep-out.
A spokesperson says Mr Ormsby was pulled from the fire but could not be revived.
The Fire Service and police will be investigating the incident on Thursday, although there is no suspicion of foul play.
