One person is dead after a car left the road and hit a tree near Lake Rotorua on Monday morning.
Police were called to the crash on Hamurana Road at Okere Falls at 5:30am.
Hamurana Road between Te Waerenga Road and State Highway 33 was closed to traffic in both directions, while the scene was being cleared and investigations into the crash continue.
