About 60 students have gathered to rally against a proposed tuition fee rise at the University of Auckland, saying it is grossly unfair.
Students gathered outside the old Choral Hall on Symonds Street on Monday, ahead of the annual fee setting meeting which students aren't invited to.
Student advocacy group Reclaim University of Auckland says it is strongly opposing the proposed 4% fee increase.
It says students are suffering under the weight of their debt, and a fee increase is unforgivable and completely avoidable.
