A man's death in Wainuiomata in Hutt City is now a homicide inquiry.
Huri King-Mosen was found by the owner of the Puriri Street home he lived in on Tuesday afternoon. The owner had stayed at another Hutt Valley property for the night.
Mr King-Mosen, who was 24, had last been in contact with his family on Monday.
Police say their investigation has been upgraded following a post-mortem.
