Fresh charges have been laid against a 51-year-old man in relation to the death of a man at Tolaga Bay.
The man, previously charged with assault, now faces the charge of murder. He is due to appear in the Gisborne District Court on Friday.
Mark Anthony Paaka, 40, of Tolaga Bay died from injuries suffered during an altercation in the driveway of his home on 31 October.
