A man has been flown to hospital after being injured in a logging accident in the Marlborough Sounds.
The 32-year-old from Blenheim was part of a logging crew working in Clova Bay when one of his legs became trapped under a tree on Thursday.
His crew freed him from the tree before the Nelson Marlborough rescue helicopter arrived to take the man to Nelson Hospital for treatment.
