Police are appealing to the public for help following seven separate sexual assaults in South Auckland over a matter of weeks, one involving a 13-year-old girl.
Police are concerned about the nature and number of attacks and are trying to identify all the offenders they think are involved over the two-month period.
The 13-year-old was in a playground near the Manukau Sports Bowl when she was indecently assaulted about 4.30pm on 9 November. She broke free and raised the alarm after running home.
A 20-year-old woman was indecently assaulted outside the Sports Bowl about 5am on 13 October.
Five women, aged 17 to 55, were also indecently assaulted in the Botanic Gardens in September and October.
The assaults took place in daylight and police believe two offenders working separately are responsible for these attacks.
