3:37 pm on 22 November 2013

Police say occupants of a car that drove out of a Taupo service station just after it was robbed on Thursday night may have vital information.

A sole male assistant was held up at knifepoint just after 8pm at the Z station on Titiraupenga Street.

The offender made off with a small amount of cash. Police say he ran through the forecourt at the same time a blue late-model Renault four-door hatchback drove through behind him.

They do not believe that the vehicle is linked to the him, but would like to talk to the people in the car.

The offender is described as Maori, aged between 20 and 30 years, of average height and medium to solid build.
